Haven’t done one of these in awhile…
I’m splitting my June goals into two types: personal goals and AX goals.
No refined-sugar for a month. Refined Sugar (sugar that has its compounds removed) isn’t too much of an issue in my diet anymore, but I want to cut it out completely to see if it helps in my health and body goals. I’m not cutting sugar out entirely but removing the foods with added sweeteners and sugar – the “empty calories.” My only sugar consumption will be from fruits and vegetables. 😀
While this goal isn’t super interesting for readers (unless I transform into a Greek goddess and can divulge all the secrets as to how I did it), I’m more motivated when putting it out into the universe. So thank you for helping me get through this. ❤
Write daily. This is every month’s and every year’s goal… but I’m slacking again. Putting this into the universe like my other goals gives me extra motivation, so thank you again. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Hunt me down with pitchforks and torches and chop off my fingers one by one if I don’t write! 🙂 🙂 Er, start with my toes since fingers aid the writing process.
Write 4 blog posts. One post per week! …there isn’t a set schedule, but that idea seems manageable while juggling my other writing endeavors. And life in general.
Finish Fruits Basket and Blitzcat.
After finishing the 11th volume of Fruits Basket, I’ve yet to face the 12th. I’m just not ready for it to end, but I doubt I ever will be. I owe it to the characters, mangaka, and myself to finish it though, and that is what I shall do this month!
I have one more renewal for my library book Blitzcat, so my plan is to finally finish that as well. I’m enjoying the plot and story perspectives; half of it is told through the eyes of a cat and the other half through the people she encounters during World War 2. It’s different from what I normally read, which is why I choose it.
March in Spokane’s Pride Parade. The anime convention that I volunteer for is holding a booth at Spokane’s Pride Festival this year. We’re also marching in the parade! I’m so excited because this will be my first Pride Festival, and I’m putting together a special outfit for it. I hope to give my love and support to the LGBT community. ❤
Maybe I’ll do another yoga challenge. I don’t remember if I told you guys how awesome yoga is… ( ಠ◡ಠ )
On June 30th, my friend, her sister, and I are going to Los Angeles, California, to attend Anime Expo! We will be staying a block or two away from the convention center and living over a Whole Foods. Aaah~ my vegan dream~… and my wallet’s nightmare.
Before the adventure begins, here are my prep goals!
Make convention goals. All I know for sure is that I will
hunt down find a Rin Okumura and take a picture together and get married.
Watch Attack on Titan Season 2. And maybe a couple more shows… Anime Expo is best when up to date with anime and Japanese pop-culture, so I’ll give myself a little leeway to enjoy some new shows this month… or finish some old-newish ones, like Nanbaka. If you’ve got any 2017 anime recommendations, post them below in the comments!
Cosplay. “Cosplay” is a fancy word for “costume play” and relates to all forms of dressing in costume, but the anime community has coined it for anime-related costumes. Anyway, I’ve always been self-conscious and uncomfortable about my body, but this year… I’m still self-conscious and uncomfortable but also a tiiiny bit more confident. Because I’m an amateur (and a struggling-sort-of-wannabe-college-student), I’ll keep it simple. But my goal is at least one cosplay and cute outfits for the other days!
Pack ahead of time! I’m a procrastinating packer…
I hope that June gets me back into these goals posts, because it’s fun to start the month off with ambition and ideas. I do stress at times (sometimes a lot) and question whether readers will enjoy the content, but I myself find enjoyment in reading the goals of others. So I hope my post adds some delight and/or inspiration to your day. What are your June goals?
Thank you for reading, and I hope everyone’s summer starts on a happy note!
