For National Novel Writing Month 2015, I am writing to save my life.
What danger am I in? Sinking into the abyss of my own loss-of-love-for-living. But that’s really okay, because I know I have plenty of time to find myself – as well as love for living in this world, and love for who I am. What I need, what I have needed more than any other painkiller in the world, is to find my passion in the written word, found in both my writing and the writing of others.
I am excited to be crashing into NaNoWriMo head first (as always), and I have written a bit over the daily word count, with plans on writing more. My break is involving writing my first blog post (and publishing it for anyone to see… woah), and finally, finally, finally reaching out to the blogging world. An introductory blog post I wrote last year (but never posted due to nerves and procrastination) called it the “blorld” (blog + world).
Let me be honest. I kind of, sort of, actually, most certainly, have nooo idea what I am doing, but I have faith I’ll get the hang of it eventually, right? The best bloggers, writers, and anyone in any activity, start off a bit lost and unknowing. Typically, I do some research via shadow dwelling before leaping into a site, but I’ve been dwelling without research on WordPress for a year, and it’s time to get myself out there.
“Hello blorld!” Again. But it’s official this time.
Me of the past. So cheesy… and here I am, unchanged and as cheesy as ever. Yet still enjoying it.
Anywho, my goal is to write daily posts for NaNoWriMo, as well as continue my blog long after NaNoWriMo… onward to NaNoWriMo 2016! Ooh, but first, CampNaNoWriMo of 2016.
As for what else to expect from this blog… that’s a surprise! “Surprise” being that I have no idea. I’m kidding, I have ideas: writing advice/experiences, inspirational/motivational advice, anime reviews/anime posts, travels, and whatever else might intrigue me and be worth sharing. With the good ol’ blorld.
Now that I think about it, I have declared to blog each day of NaNoWriMo… so I guess I’ll be participating in NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month).
I’m not going to officially sign-up just yet, however, because I feel like just posting a NaNoWriMo update each day is a sort of cheat to posting each day for NaBloPoMo, compared to others who are taking time to carefully create a blog post (not to say this is zero effort)… but I want to write more than just updates, as long as it does not interfere with my novel-writing of NaNoWriMo. However, in the end, I’m still writing, so this is all a win-win situation! As long as I am writing quality work (or somewhat quality, when the month starts getting tough), I am happy and proud of what I do.
And with this, I extend my hand to NaNoWriMo 2015, NaBloPoMo 2015, and the blorld. I also give greetings to the writing world. MJ Cobra, a once shy–okay, still shy–aspiring author, is here to share her name, dreams, and, most importantly, stories.
